    I can promise you that you have nothing to worry about with General Movers. Kyle was able to fit me in at the perfect time, just when I needed them. His guys were so far beyond professional and kind, treated all of my belongings with great care, and wasted no time. They got straight to work, on one of the most humid days we’ve had lately, and let me tell you, these guys are surgical with the way they handle your things. Everything of mine that they moved was in perfect condition after the job was finished. Nicely wrapped, not a single scratch on anything. They go to great lengths to take care of your possessions as if they are handling the Declaration of Independence. I know it can be worrisome hiring a moving company; put your faith in General Movers and I guarantee you are well taken care of from start to finish. The process is a breeze.     I can’t recommend Carl and Sammie enough! They did an outstanding job with our move from start to finish. They arrived right on time, were incredibly professional, and treated every item with great care.They even went above and beyond by helping us with some extra packaging, which made the entire process so much less stressful.     Brandon and Sammy moved me from an apartment to a townhouse. They were efficient and effective. Completely worth the money. Nothing broken or scratches. I bought a box for my OLED TV.     If you are looking for a moving company, look no further. Hands down, General Movers is the best I've ever hired. ​Working with the owner, Kyle, was smooth and professional from day one. The real MVPs were Danny and JC. They handled my move on July 1st during a major heat wave, and they were absolute workhorses. What impressed me the most was their attention to detail—not a single scratch or dent on anything. In my experience with previous movers, some damage is unfortunately expected, but General Movers completely broke that streak.     I highly recommend General Movers.  They called the day before to ask if I had anything of particular concern.  I did have a storage chest that needed extra care and he recognized it when he came in and wrapped it carefully.  All main furniture was wrapped well, clean runners were placed on the floors.  They placed things exactly where I asked them to at the new address.  The movers were friendly, on time, super fast, and somehow did not seem to mind the below freezing weather we had.     On the whole, General Movers was a positive experience. I moved from Maine to Florida and found the sales team very responsive, helpful, and provided great tips to ensure a good moving experience. They worked within my timeline, which was impressive given the short notice and a 2-week turnaround. The movers that arrived were friendly and skilled at their job. Again, everything was well-explained including the monies owed on the other end and the form of payment accepted. They exceed my expectations with the amount of help packing my items. I had already carefully padded and plastic wrapped most of my things but they used furniture covers and taped and wrapped over my work ensuring it to be protected and covered. I had been told ahead of time to make sure my boxes were packed to the top so they wouldn't be crushed in transit. I followed all the advice and everything arrived unscathed...nothing broken, nothing scratched, nothing crushed. On the receiving end, an 18-wheeler had to navigate my crowded neighborhood and he did an amazing job. They contracted out help to unpack. Everyone was friendly and capable. The only reason this isn't a 5-star review is because of a payment discrepancy which cost me and the movers unneeded stress and loss of time. I was told by Susan, on the sales team, that cash and money order was all that would be accepted. I verified that a bank money order was okay and was told 'yes'. On the receiving end, they refused to accept it. It took 2 hours on a Friday at 5:00 p.m. to run around town locating acceptable payment. Susan, who had previously been so helpful and answered my texts and calls at any time of the day, ghosted me. No matter what the sales team tells you - this company will only accept CASH and POSTAL MONEY ORDERS. What could have been a great moving experience ended up being extremely exhausting and stressful. What was great customer service at the beginning of the move, did not follow through at the end. Will I use them again? I'm not sure. They were 'mostly good' but I may hold out for excellent and stress-free next time.

    Used General Movers to move stuff to my new house last weekend. The guys came out a little earlier than scheduled, which I appreciated since I requested they try to get there early. They did a good job packing things up carefully & efficiently. There were also sensibly about stacking things (this is not a given-- not all movers are very careful about how they deposit items). The guys (Danny, Kaelon, & Andrew) were all very polite & nice people. Danny called the night before to make sure he understood what would be needed for the move. Very organized. Kaelon (sp?) was especially considerate in moving things in. I didn't ask him to sort boxes in a particular way, but he watched what I was doing & tried to copy my sorting method.     Working with General Movers was a good experience. Their price was very fair. They were on time. The movers Danny and Miles worked very efficiently. They took a lot of care to make sure there was no damage while moving. They also put runners down so they did not track into my new apartment.     I spoke with Kyle over the phone. They were able to fit me in on Tuesday but I explained I needed a fridge moved earlier for the holidays. He was able to refer me to someone else who did it the same day. Very professional and I appreciate he went out of his way to help me. We would recommend this company to everyone.     Kyle and his team are phenomenal. Always on time arrival. Responsive on texts. Excellent packing and moving skills. The entire moving team is polite and friendly. Nothing damaged.     I was worried because I had bad experiences with other movers i contacted, my calls went unreturned etc. General movers got back to us immediately, took a list of what I wanted moved, it was only a small load, and said there was no problem. It could be picked-up, driven to Pittsburgh and delivered in one day. The cost was more than some quotes i got, but less than others. Brandon and Austin were prompt in arriving at the pick-up point, careful but fast in their packaging and packing, called us from the road to give us updates of their progress and were equally fast and efficient in their unpacking and positioning of the furniture. It was surprisingly stress free, unlike other experiences we have had with the moving industry.

    They showed up a little late, but not horribly so. They were very friendly and pleasant, and worked quickly to get everything out onto the truck. They were very careful with all of my stuff, even carrying heavy things down my narrow staircase. I was moving my own things as well as my roommate's, and they made a stressful move very easy.
